The family gathering was held in Williamsburg, Virgina, from May 10 to 13, 2018. On Friday afternoon, we visited the Whitemarsh site, where archaeologists Alain Outlaw and Matt Tuttle gave a progress report on the project, which is now in its second year. In the evening, St. Luke’s Church hosted the Bridger family with a wonderful barbeque dinner in a tent on the church grounds.
At Saturday’s banquet at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, Janet Ross reported on her research of Hester Pitt’s ancestors in Bristol, England, Alain Outlaw provided more updates on the Whitemarsh project, and Bill Hodsden provided updates on future plans at St. Luke’s Church.
