The Bridger Family reunion was held from July 7 to 10, 2011, at Fort Bridger in Wyoming, which was built in 1843 by our cousin Jim Bridger. It was an exciting trip for all who attended. Members of the Fort Bridger Historical Association gave our members tours of the fort. Members laid a wreath at the grave of Virginia Bridger, daughter of Jim Bridger who was born at the fort in 1849. At the Saturday night dinner meeting, which included buffalo and elk meat, Bobby Bridger entertained the members and “retired his buckskin suit,” donating it to the Museum at Fort Bridger after his performance. Members also enjoyed a full-day trip to the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
