Our 10th anniversary gathering took place in Williamsburg, Virginia from May 14 to 17. On Friday, we took a bus to tour three James River Plantations — Westover, Berkeley, and Shirley.
On Saturday night we held our annual meeting with a banquet at the DoubleTree Hotel. We had a record attendance of 85, with several cousins joining us for the first time. In a special program, “Our Unbelievable, Fantastic Ancestors”, members Betty Cullen and Elaine Powell discussed the lives of our Bridger ancestors and reminisced about our September 2014 trip to England. Two English cousins and their spouses joined us, one couple coming all the way from Hong Kong. An Australian cousin also attended.
On Sunday we all met at St. Luke’s Church in Smithfield. David Carrington of St. John the Evangelist Church, Slimbridge, England, led the service. His wife Tricia Carrington played the organ. Four couples renewed their wedding vows.
